Kindreds

Kindreds is a creative group I set up in spring 2020 to support adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

We are a group of women who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse and wanted to create a space – both digital and physical – to find solidarity and comfort in each other and to be creative together.

The purpose of this group is to feel less isolated in our experience, to support each other and make work, initially, starting from a place of creative writing, finding our individual and collective voices and raising them up. We are open to all survivors of childhood sexual abuse. There is no pressure to commit regularly to the group but we hope that some members will keep returning so that an empowering and proactive community begins to form.

At the moment, we have one online session available, we’re unsure about how we will move forward given the current COVID-19 crisis. We hope that we will run more physical and online sessions soon. You can keep checking back on our website here.
